He doesn't have any idea

I was watching the news on CNN a few hours ago, and Mr. George W Bush was addressing the nation and answering reporters from around the world about Iraq and Afghanistan.
Everything was going smoothly almost the same dull Qs and answers, until a reporter asked about the troops in Iraq and if there's a schedule to bring them back and if there will be more troops sent to Iraq, nothing unorthodox about that even the answer wasn't really unexpected.
But I'm a 100% sure Mr. Bush had no idea about the few things that made me wonder does anyone pay attention to him anymore, He said if General Casey and our ambassador Karazai need more troops we will send some more........ WTF ambassador Karazai, first of all the US ambassador to Iraq is called Zalmai khalilzada, and if Mr. Bush didn't know that or even got confused about the name, shouldn't be someone to clear things up for him?
Obviously no body cares anymore, am I the only one who noticed that? Or was I mistaken?
